Sweet. Kick-arse game. Can’t wait to see future builds.

Thanks guys!

I’ve left 6 blank slots in the highscore table stuff, so… Yes, Kills will probably be there, along with Time Played, and maybe Max Multiplier.. That’s all I can think of, though ;)

Feel free to upload levels whenever you wish.. Make a level, save it, then upload your scores, and the level will go with it! (You’ll see it go in the upload displayer.)

I’ll probably get some work done on the web-based stuff, tonight.. Not sure what I’ll be doing on that end, but.. I’m sure I can come up with something!
Maybe!

Thanks. And, indeed, it’s left a nice big spike in the visitor stats.

But, as with all things, the spike is just that. Seems that, no matter what, web folk are only interested in the “NOW!” and not the Yesterday..

I’m going to assume, then, that you’ve not yet figured out the disks.. If you’re on a level with disks, you absolutely positively have to collect them all.
As soon as you collect the last one, your highscore is saved. otherwise, nada…
Think of it as a Quest.. A Heroes Quest, if you will.. (Man, that level’s a toughy! .. Based on MB’s HeroQuest Board Game incase no-one spotted it.)

Well then, just be sure you’re getting a score that should actually be in the top 10 of your Local scores.. (You only get 1 score on the online chart…)

Great game, though it might get a bit repetitive (feels like esp. with the doors it’d be great to make a story with levels and preset, challenging spawn zones) – then again, for a week that’s great! You were heavily inspired by Crimsonland, huh? I’ve beat first place on many of the levels (like HeroesQuest @1456) but my score only remains local. How can I go brag in the charts? Haha.

Got it. I also quite literally stumbled on an exploding breed from behind… before I was wondering, “How on earth do players in Alone Without Ammo score, and so high?!” Tricky!

Sorry for the double-post but if you’re ever going to update this, I think it’d be really encouraging to custom levels for the editor to have a zoom feature. Concentrating on such small tiles gets quickly tedious!

If you want to attempt an easier drawing method, for little corridors and things like that, you can load up your favourite paint package, save a .png, and load it with that little “-> img” icon on the top of the editor.
Then fiddle around with that..
Try to match the colours in the editor, (screengrab!) in your paint package, and you oughta be able to build pretty cool levels like that.

Don’t make it too big, though. I can’t remember how the game handles big images.. It either realises, and centers the image, or it crashes!!

^ Map from the classic board game, Heroquest! (Hence the naming of the Heroes Quest, level.)
