J-Walker

Much as expected, this week’s AGameAWeek has become a Vib Ribbon style game.
To be honest, I had this idea for a moment, last week, whilst doing the Go Left game. The idea stayed in my head for about a minute, before vanishing.
But having finally gotten around to playing Vib Ribbon, this week, I figured it was time to put the plan into action, and with a nice time-saving addition (the graphics!) I managed to get it done in time.

So here’s J-Walker.

Hit the cursor buttons in time with the music (directions are as shown in the logo) to guide J-Walker towards the end of the music.
Only 3 tracks are included, but they’re easy enough to add.. Unplayed instruments, 01->12 for the different blocks.. Have a nosey at the included tracks to figure it out!

And, if I can find anything good, I’ll add some more music later.
..
Maybe!

Meanwhile, you can Download J-Walker here.

hehe the simple yet stilistic animations are nice especially the stilted walk over the little blocks…funny ;)

Yeah, I aimed for a nice stylistic game, this time.. More because I wanted a nice clean desktop image, than anything!

For those who care..

A nice clean desktop image. (should be easily scalable, especially since it’s pretty much a plain white background.)

now a glorious question: how to switch to full screen?
…hmm would be really cool. AD2 finally in full screen :D
(i thought that is not possible)

This in fullscreen.. Forgot to add!
I coded this quickly, yesterday, and didn’t even use my bog standard coding skeleton. I actually plucked the mod-reader from Cowbell Hero, so that became my starting point, as opposed to my usual default framework.

But..

There is a Fullscreen mode for things that do use the default framework, and yes, it DOES include AD2. Just open the program using -full as it’s parameter.
Either right click the icon, create shortcut, and add -full to the target.. or make a bat to do the same thing..
Just don’t try it on a widescreen monitor.. It looks horrible!!
