Preparations…. Additional
Whilst learning the ins and outs of BlitzMax properly, I’d like to learn using something I know. It’s easier to fiddle around with a new language if you already know where the game’s headed.
So, for my first proper week in 2010 I’d like to attempt a remake of one of my previous games.
If there’s any of my games that you’ve really loved, but that you think could be better. let me know what it is, and we’ll see if we can choose a winning remake to be done.

If I can come up with some other worlds and things, I’ll have a think about it. The main reason NeonPlat kinda got stuck was because trying to add things would “un-neon” his world, and I kinda wanted it to stay as it were without disrupting that.
We’ll see!!

Idea! Following the other worlds idea, maybe there could be a world in which there is no light, but Platdude and his enemies light up.
The platforms and bubbles don’t.

Centipong
My down right favorite game out of them all.
If I had to pick one and only one that would be it.
I play it on my DS mostly though the PC version is so much better.
More of the same but more awesome I’d say.
Perhaps make the centipeade more dragon like with smooth sweeps and curves in its turns. (good advertisement point for the side of the arcade cabinet art not that thats relevent)
Anyway, dragon for a cetipede, perhaps a half circle gyruss like area to move and shoot from. Sliding from one side to the other. Combo scores, laser wall to bounce the ball/parts from, maybe a scrolling tiled background for a good touch, like floating ove a pixel art tile of trees/clouds etc.
Also maybe some elements that flash during beats to music, like the enemy blinking at beats and stuff and maybe a ball speed up on paddle hit on beat.
Just some random ideas off the top of my head.
Second best would be Microbes perhaps, or maybe a mix of them both perhaps?
Good luck with BlitzMax

I really liked NeonPlat, but there should be something like suits or powerups or multiple bubbles that you can trap enemies in. Maybe some new enemies.
